About AppVetter

AppVetter is an independent editorial site that reviews and catalogues popular Android apps with one consistent question in mind: what should someone know before installing?

Why this site exists

App store listings are written by the companies that make the apps. Star ratings compress thousands of different experiences into one number. What tends to be missing is the middle layer: a plain-language account of what an app is for, where important trade-offs exist, and which listing is official.

Our in-depth editorial reviews cover use cases, features, privacy, pros and cons, and a written verdict. Our broader catalogue pages are clearly labelled as listing-led entries and use public Google Play facts without claiming hands-on testing. Both page types keep privacy context and the official source visible.

What we are not

We do not host application files on our own servers. Every app page links to the official Google Play listing, and where an APK option is shown it is clearly separated from the official store link. We are not affiliated with Google or with any listed developer, and no developer pays for placement or control over our coverage.

How the site is funded

AppVetter is supported by advertising, clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Advertisers have no influence on which apps we cover or what we say about them.

Corrections

Apps change quickly, and stored listing facts can drift out of date. If you spot a changed feature, policy, rating, or other factual error, write to us via the contact page. We check correction requests against current public sources and update affected pages.

You can read more about our two content levels on the How We Review page.
